Freedom is not Free

Remember our soldiers on Memorial Day to keep their memory and sacrifice foremost.  We must remember that all of the liberties we enjoy were bought with a heavy price.

It is the
VETERAN,
not the preacher,
who has given us freedom of religion.

It is
the VETERAN,
not the reporter,
who has given us freedom of the press.

It is
the VETERAN,
not the poet,
who has given us freedom of speech.

It is
the VETERAN,
not the campus organizer,
who has given us freedom to assemble.

It is
the VETERAN,
not the lawyer,
who has given us the right to a fair trial.

It is
the VETERAN,
not the politician,
Who has given us the right to vote.

It is
the

VETERAN

who serves
under the Flag.

  1. Yes Yes and Yes, to many of us take for granted the gift that we have called FREEDOM. A gift to us at a great price to all who have served honorably to protect our country and our Constitution. They don’t have buildings, streets, airports, or holidays named after them only one day set a side once a year for us to remember all those brave soldiers who have given their lives so that we may be able to live as a free people. GOD Bless them and their families who have sacrificed so much for us and our country.

    • Thank you TSTS, you don’t know how much I appreciate your kind words. We are all praying our daddy comes home ok, “daddy” being husband, father, brother, son, uncle, the best dad ever.

God we love him and miss him.

  2. I absolutely love “Freedom is Not Free”! Thank you so much for posting it.
My reaction was the same as that of “toosmalltosucceed”. I wanted to shout in agreement with each & every point and hug that man standing for the flag.
I would love to put this on http://Flipcongress2010.com but will only do so with your permission.
