I cannot say that I never learned about this D-Day in school since I was never studious and although I may have been taught this in school I had no recollection.  However, today I had the privilege of learning about this D-Day first hand from a Marine that was there.

At the importance of anonymity I will not share this World War II Soldiers’ name but I will share some details about my observance of him and his personality that were and are especially sweet.  Today this retired WWII Marine started a friendly conversation with me as we both left the commissary.  Previously we had met and made small talk at the gym.

We talked about the weather among other things and he said, “I’m a WWII Veteran”.  I said, “Wow, how nice to meet you and thank you so much for your service”.  I then said, “D-Day was just two days ago, what a historic moment in history that you were part of”.  The Marine raised his hand and I clasped it as he said, “My D-Day was 15 June 1944 at the Battle of Saipan in the Mariana Islands.  I felt my heart skip a beat as I realized this was a fact of history I never knew.  Wishing I had some memory so that I could feel his pain but I did not, I smiled and  listened.  Today was ever so humbling.

The Marine also shared with me that he was a part of the 2nd Marine Division in the Pacific campaign of WWII.

Speaking with this Marine I was reminded of the cost of Freedom of which this man had fought for.  Freedom for me; a girl whom he would not meet until nearly 67 years later.  The Marine was such a gentleman and so kind.  He made my heart feel light and happy to have been privileged  to shake his hand and tell him Thank you for his service.  He also promised to not beat me too badly at a future game of raquetball!

Thank you to the kind, strong, fearless, Marine who braved the poor battle conditions and all that surrounds war.  Thank you for offering your life for American freedom.

Only two people have offered to give their life for ours, “Jesus Christ” and “The Veteran”.

Ok.  People we have certainly been paraded around the world by Obama with virtual rings in our noses.  All the while he is skipping along ahead as if we relish and enjoy his constant string of lies and deceit.  There is just no way to even begin to list them all here, so I will discuss but one; the deficit. 

What is so doggone funny unbelievable is that the usurper expects you and I to believe the hogwash he continually spews.  Unfortunately there are still quite a bit of infamous kool-aide drinkers around and good grief are they thirsty!  However, conservative bloggers such as the ones I will list under “Additional Reading”  and myself (albeit small) are doing everything we can to save what is left of America before it’s too late.  So read and head. 

American Solutions, Steve Everley: Meanwhile, thanks to the President’s numerous bans and restrictions on domestic drilling, American oil production this year will drop by a shocking 220,000 barrels per day. Tens of thousands of Americans are out of work due to Obama’s moratorium on drilling in the Gulf last summer. And earlier this week the communist government in Cuba actually announced it will expand drilling in the Gulf of Mexico this summer.
Yet our President’s plan is to talk about green jobs at a windmill factory while loaning money to Brazil so they can drill offshore?

The problem is that even by following Obama’s “plan” of taking from only the “rich” - funds less than one fourth of Obama’s insane “nanny state” programs.  Bottom line, the middle class will continue to be raped by Democrats and Obama until we can stop the madness. 

In other words, the beatings will continue until morale improves.

The USA Debt Rating is AAA but the S&P Outlook is “Negative”, based on the USA debt trends from 61.1% of GDP in 2006, has increased to 91.6% of GDP in 2010 and projected to be even higher to 111.9% of GDP in 2016.

In contrast, China is AA- but “Stable” and their Debt to GDP ratios are 16.2% in 2006, 17.7% in 2010 and projected to be 9.7% in 2016.

What else can be said folks?  I have a sneaking suspicion some if not a lot of the sheeple that blog liberally as well as others across the nation will vote for this narcissistic, marinated in Marxism, liberation theology goop, yet again.  That is IF he runs, but what narcissist wouldn’t?

Maybe not because he’s half white or half black but because discerning a lie from reality is not their forte and seeing that their friends and family have lost their jobs and are unable to find employment based simply on the fact that this type of detrimental behavior perpetrated by the Left is the reason why they remain unemployed with prices for everything skyrocketing.

All this while the majority of “American Energy” sits idle in the Gulf of Mexico.  The Obammer Administration with their strangling regulation of government and business across America are who is stifling job growth, employment, as well as America’s energy independence.   Don’t give me the “if we drill today it won’t help today”, THAT IS A BUNCH OF HOG A DOUBLE S WASH.  If we had began exploration and drilling in ANWR two years ago…or had the continued ineffectual Moratorium been lifted in the Gulf area…I rest my case. 

We certainly wouldn’t be whooping and hollaring for Brazil ???? would we?    Let’s give American jobs, to Brazil.  Let’s give our energy independence to Brazil.  better yet, let’s give Brazil our MONEY!  Yep.  That is what Dear Leader has done for you.

UPDATE…OF COURSE:  Brazilian Oil Drilling
 
Even though President Obama is against offshore drilling for our country, he signed an executive order to loan $2 Billion of our taxpayer dollars (which we can’t afford to loan since we’re broke) to a Brazilian Oil Exploration Company (the 8th largest company in the entire world) to drill for oil off the coast of Brazil! (Petrobras).  The oil that comes from this operation is for the sole purpose and use of China and NOT THE USA !

The New Start is actually another Treaty to replace the current Strategic Arms Reduction Treaty with Russia.

Now, “LET ME BE CLEAR” (snicker).  It has been said in regards to the “New” Start that the GOP wants to stifle world peace. WTH?    The GOP is NOT attempting to stifle “world peace” (what a freaking joke).  Let me fill you in on what the GOP does intend.  

What the GOP is attempting is to allow America to at least have same repuirements as before; be par with Russia, be allowed “on-site” monitoring and in no way constrain US development of the “most effective missile defense capabilities” (WSJ). 

Folks, in other words Russia has done nothing but REBUILD, REVAMP, and REINFORCE their Nuclear Armament against the WORLD.  Hello!!!!  All the while UNDER THIS ADMINISTRATION, the US has defunded, deprogrammed, as well as resisted warhead modernizations (in defense of the USA) damnit.

What the GOP does insist on is leveling the playing field, however the Obama administration insists on disarming and rendering America as well as the defense of Europe inept against any and all Nuclear and NON-NUCLEAR long range hostile ballistic missles heading directly to the US or her Allies.  Mitigating and preparing for protection of Americans sounds pretty reasonable to me.   

But of course this does not sound realistic to a bunch of run of the mill tree-hugging, socialist, communist, bleeding heart liberal progressives hell bent on getting America’s A double S kicked by third world countries.  Don’t ask me why Democrats think protection of Americans is so egregious, most liberals are more worried about the level a terrorist steak is cooked at GITMO than in National Security.

Our responsibility as concerned citizens is to stop this evil Treaty from being “rubber stamped” by Congress in the coming weeks of the Lame Duck session.  Demand the vote be held while the next session of newly seated public servants are in attendance.  Thus allowing adjustment of this treaty to be more equitable to the US than it is now.
